The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has called on voters in Lagos to shun violence at the polls during the governorship election next Saturday.
Addressing party members at the ACME’s party Secretariat, Ikeja on Wednesday, Tinubu, why calling on party leaders to mobilise their members for the election, noted that party’s performance during the presidential election two weeks ago was less than satisfaction.
“We must go out and vote. I beg you all to mobilise your members to come out and vote enmasse next Saturday. I beg you all not to fight. It’s voting we want, not vote”, He said.
Besides, he decried the attitude of youths whom, instead of voting, were playing football, saying such action is unbecoming of responsible youths, whose future is dear to them.
He praised five local governments for what he described as ” excellent performance “.
