Delta State Government releases Funds for Okpanam Road Project




    The Chairman, Delta State House of Assembly Committee on Works, Hon. Evance Ivwurie has instructed Tratrix, the contracting firm handling the Okpanam road project to expedite work now that the state government has released funds and the rains have receded.


    Ivwurie, who disclosed this while inspecting the project in company of other members of the committee, said that the performance of the contracting firm would determine if the state government would release more funds for the project.
He said that the road was pivotal to the achievement of the Okowa administration as majority of the state capital’s population reside in Okpanam town.

   Also speaking, a member of the Works Committee, Hon. Emeka Nwaobi, charged the construction firm to maintain the requisite standard stipulated in the contract agreement.

   A representative of Traxtrix construction firm, Barr. Ategele promised that Okpanam road would wear a new look before the end of this year as the firm would continue work on the areas that have already been asphalted.
