Police Speaks On the Murder of Enugu Monarch



    The Enugu Police Command has called on Nigerians for information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect, one Chijioke Okenwa and his cohorts alleged to be involved in the murder of a monarch.

Newsmen reports that the traditional ruler of Ogbozine Akpugo, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, Igwe Nwatu was murdered by gunmen. 



The command’s Spokesman, SP Ebere Amaraizu, speaking on the incident said that a warrant of arrest had been issued against suspects,Okenwa and his gang.


According to him, Okenwa (48) with an average height, dark in complexion, hails from Ogboezinne Autonomous community of Akpugo.

“The command is advising members of the public with useful information about how the suspect can be traced, to report to any nearby police station or contact the command’s telephone numbers of 08032003702, 08075390883, 08086671201 and 08098880172.

“They can also reach the command through its Twitter page of @POLICENGEnugu or Facebook address of Nigereiapoliceforceenugustatecommand,’’ he said.

Amaraizu added that besides those being searched for, the command had nabbed some other suspects who were helping the police operatives in their investigations.
