Saraki speaks on why his residence and Ekweremadu's was invaded by police
Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has spoken about the police seige on his residence.
Saraki’s home was locked down by police officers and his convoy prevented from leaving the premises, to attend to the invitation by the Inspector General of Police, Idris Ibrahim.
Officials of the Department of State Security Services DSS, the Police as well as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, have also laid siege to Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu’s residence.
The Senate President also explained that Ekweremadu could not be present, because he cannot get out of his house.
According to him, the policemen were sent to their respective homes, because some lawmakers planned to dump the All Progressives Congress APC for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
