Marcelo calls for Juventus, set to join Ronaldo before deadline day
Real Madrid defender, Marcelo is determined to force through a move to Juventus and reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Real Madrid have already lost Ronaldo to Juventus this summer and have sent Mateo Kovacic on loan to Chelsea.
Midfielder, Luka Modric is also reportedly set to join Inter Milan.
Juventus paid £105m for Ronaldo and have now turned their attention to Marcelo.
And Tuttosport reports that the Brazilian defender is angling for a transfer.
The newspaper claimed that Marcelo has ‘called’ Juventus to gauge how interested they are in his signature. The Brazilian wants to know if the Italian giants will guarantee him game time before pledging to leave Real.
Marcelo and Ronaldo struck up a partnership on the Real Madrid left flank over the years. The 30-year-old Marcelo joined Real in 2007, and is now chasing a dream move to Juventus. And the way Real’s transfer window has gone so far certainly suggests a move could be on.
