Federal Road Safety Corp to enforce speed limit device on February 1

In view of low compliance to the installation of speed limit device in commercial vehicles, the Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC, is advocating for more compliance.

Delta State Sector Coordinator, FRSC Special Marshal, Dickson Ameromahwe, while on the Rizepiration program this morning at Rize fm Radio Warri , he warned that full enforcement of the speed limit device stands at February 1 2017, even as he stated vehicles who fail to install the device would be arrested.

On the availability of the device, he said there are certified vendors in the city of Warri and other parts of the country, who vehicle owners can purchase from at affordable rate at the range of 35,000 to 45,000 before installation.

Furthermore, the FRSC Delta State Sector Coordinator, pointed out that it is solely the Corp that has the responsibility and means to check for the device in vehicles.
It is expected that with the speed limit device, road crash would be reduced to its barest minimum.
