Oyo state state Government adjusted its criminal justice system with the introduction of an effective administration of criminal

    In an attempt to curtail snail speed in judicial processes in Oyo state, the state Government has adjusted its criminal justice system with the introduction of an effective administration of criminal and community service scheme.

   During a workshop to introduce the new law in Ibadan, the Chief Judge of the state, MuntarAbimbola, said it would have serious effect on the state’s criminal justice system.
    He explained that under the new law, which recently received the consent of Governor AbiolaAjimobi, there would be limited adjournment of not more than 14 days in every criminal trial, saying that the law was put in place to protect suspects against unfair hearing and the society from crime.
