Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi
Okowa, has felicitated with the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic
Party, PDP, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi, as he
marks his 61st birthday anniversary today, August 8th , 2017.
In a statement by his Chief Press
Secretary, Charles Aniagwu, the Governor lauded Senator Makarfi for agreeing to
steer the ship of the party at a time he was called upon.
The Governor commended the PDP
Chairman’s patriotism, hard work and leadership in managing the affairs of the
party through the period and in the aftermath of the party’s intra- leadership
crisis and litigations.
He added that Senator Makarfi’s
leadership qualities, commitment and dedication to democratic ideals has indeed
endeared him to many Nigerians and party faithful who will continue to draw
inspiration from his leadership style.
The Governor prayed that God Almighty would
grant Senator Makarfi many more years of happiness and good health to lead the
party to greater heights.
