Liverpool have reportedly made an enquiry over the availability of Monaco winger Thomas Lemar. Also, Tottenham want to sign the winger from Monaco this summer. The Reds are said to be ready to pay a club record fee of up to €60million (£55m) for the French international, according to the Telegraph.
Any Liverpool move for Lemar is not linked with the future of Philippe Coutinho they report, following Barcelona’s aggressive pursuit of the Brazilian playmaker. Arsenal have already failed in their attempts to sign the French winger. But French outlet Le 10 Sport claim Spurs have emerged as contenders for his signature late in the transfer window.
Monaco don’t want to sell - they have already lost a raft of players in the transfer market and Kylian Mbappe is currently set to join PSG. But they will consider an offer from Spurs if it is hefty enough. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger described their interest in Lemar as “dead” earlier this month.
Manchester United have also been linked with Lemar. Monaco have already seen Tiemoue Bakayoko, Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva leave the club this summer, with Kylian Mbappe said to be on the verge of a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
