Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's Break Is Reportedly Becoming a Breakup
Probably not too surprisingly given Justin Bieber's late-night rendezvous with Baskin Champion last week, but E! is now reporting that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's break from each other is becoming a more permanent, full-fledged breakup.
The two apparently aren't talking right now — Gomez is enjoying being solo and hanging with friends. And maybe, just maybe, she and the Biebs aren't meant to be at this moment! "Selena realized even though he's made some positive improvements, they just aren't a perfect match right now," a source told the outlet.
E! is still standing by its earlier report that Bieber is only interested in being official with Gomez. (Sorry, Baskin Champion.) "Justin has been upset about the recent break from Selena and is trying to keep busy until they work things out," a source told E! last Wednesday. "Justin was introduced to Baskin through his friend group and they have only hung out a few times. He has definitely been liking her company, but to say they are dating is a huge stretch. Justin isn't trying to be serious with anyone but Selena."
People echoed that sentiment in its own independent reporting yesterday. “He thinks and talks about Selena all the time," a Bieber "pal" told the outlet. "The chapter with her is definitely not finished.”
Gomez and Bieber are currently both in Los Angeles, but haven't been photographed out together publicly since the end of February (one day before Gomez went Instagram official with Bieber for his birthday). Right before Bieber went out with Champion, Gomez was photographed out in Australia with friends, including on that bikini photo boat trip.
But perhaps the most telling Jelena relationship status update will come Wednesday night, if both remain in LA; Bieber and Gomez are regularly photographed attending the same church service on Wednesdays, and are often filmed interacting (and in happier days, making out) by other church attendees. Jelena fans will surely be breathlessly waiting.
