Buhari Govt has created 6m jobs – Presidency, PDP trade words

The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has stated that the All Progressives Congress, APC-led government has created more than six million jobs in the past three years.

He added that the government will create more jobs when the budget is passed.

Shehu said this on Sunday night while speaking at a crossfire with the spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, on Channels Television’s flagship political program, Sunday Politics.

He also said that there was no favoritism in the Buhari-government’s fight against corruption.

“Under the Buhari administration, several companies have been created and several job opportunities have been created for our youths.

“There is no special treatment for the APC caught with corruption. The same treatment that is meted on the PDP is the same to APC members. We are not fighting political enemies with the EFCC as being said by the PDP.

“Buhari is not afraid of the 2019 elections because he has performed well and he will be returned,” Shehu said.

In his response, Ologbodiyan, said the APC government failed in its campaign promises, which included economy, fighting corruption and insecurity.

He further stressed that President Buhari was afraid because he has failed woefully.

The PDP spokesman said, “This government has performed abysmally in the areas of the economy and on security. What we have seen is mass killings all over the country while some people in government who is evident are corrupt have not been tried while the government continues to use the instrument of government to fight the opposition.

“The biggest problem with Buhari is that he does not get feedback. He knows he has failed Nigerians and it was out of fear he is expressing that PDP has got more money to prosecute elections”.
