Delta State government is appealing to traditional rulers in the state to donate parcels of land to government to boost commercial agriculture.
Making the appeal while addressing traditional rulers from Delta North at the palace of the Obi of Owa, Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor II, Commissioner for Economic Planning, Dr. Kingsley Emu, made the appeal,said the call became necessary in view of the request of foreign investors that were willing to do business in the state.
He also assured the people of government’s willingness to diversify the economy of the state through agriculture, adding that availability of land was important for the take-off of the landmark project.
