Delta State Governor urge Deltans to refrain from acts that could mar the peace advanced by heroes past

Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, called on Deltans to refrain from acts that could mar the peace advanced by heroes past.

Senator Okowa, in his goodwill message marking the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, said that the past heroes of Nigeria had, through sweat and blood, carved a united fort which we could proudly call our country and should be encouraged and appreciated through avoidance of acts capable of causing crisis in the country.
The governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Hon. Festus Agas, stressed the need to embrace constructive dialogue instead of militancy and commended the Armed Forces of Nigeria for their enviable contribution to the unity of the nation.
Earlier in his sermon, Rev. Gideon Oyibo advised Nigerians to appreciate the contributions of the nation’s war heroes to the peace and security of Nigeria.
