Lagos State Government urge residents not to rent or live in buildings that did not have the approval of the state

The Lagos State Government has asked residents of the State not to rent or live in buildings that did not have the approval of the state Government.

The General Manager of the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority, LASPPPA, Remi Oni-Orisan, disclosed this during the monitoring of structures in  Alimosho Local Government Area, adding that the call was meant to ensure the safety of lives and property.
He stated that most building owners refused to get approval through which they guarantee structures safety for habitation.
Oni-Orisan also said rehabilitated buildings must be certified for habitation by the government before people move into such structures.
He further issued a seven days ultimatum to residents of Coker Estate in  Alimosho Local Government Area, owners of Filling Stations and other properties across the State, urging them to go back to the approved plan for their structures or face sanctions.
