Andy Murray and Coach Amelie Mauresmo have ‘mutually agreed’ to end their partnership.
The duo worked together for two years and world No 3 Murray says Mauresmo’s input has been hugely beneficial.
“I’ve learned a lot from Amelie over the past two years,” said Murray. “She’s been a calming influence in the team and we’ll miss having her around.
“I’d like to thank her for everything she has done, she has been an invaluable member of the team.
“I’d like to thank her for everything she has done, she has been an invaluable member of the team.
“I will take some time to consider the next steps and how we progress from here.”
Mauresmo said: “Working with Andy over the last two years has been a fantastic experience for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the great team of people he has around him.
“Dedicating enough time along with the travel has been a challenge for me. I wish him and his team well and I hope he goes on to win many more titles.”
Having won two Grand Slam titles while working with Coach Ivan Lendl, Murray parted ways with him in March 2014 and caused a stir when he announced that he had hired Mauresmo after that year’s French Open.
Mauresmo, a Wimbledon winner in her playing days, became the first woman to coach one of the TOP male players.
