Nigeria Women Football League now has a new board

   Inaugurating the new board at the NFF Secretariat in Abuja, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, charged them to do all they can to elevate the women’s league.
Pinnick poured encomiums on the board’s independent chairman, Aisha Falode and expressed confidence in their ability.

    Responding, Falode, who is a member of the CAF Media Committee and CAF Match Commissioner, said it was a great honour for herself and other members to be called upon to serve.
She also revealed that the board will look at the structure and the issue of players’ welfare, even as she pledged to run a women’s League that is functional, compact and competitive.
    The new board, which has Aisha Falode as Independent Chairman, also has Margaret Icheen as Independent Vice Chairman, Joe Amene as Independent Director, Kemi Adesanya, Henrietta Ukaigwe, Hussaina Suleiman, Mustapha Tahir, Usman Mustapha and Matilda Otuene as Directors, as well as Nkechi Obi as Chief Executive Officer.
