People of Okere Urhobo in Warri South
Local Government Area of Delta State are been advised to live in peace in order
to fast track the development of the kingdom.
The Special Adviser to the state
Governor on Peace Building and Rural Development, Edwin Uzor, gave the advice
when he met with stakeholders in the kingdom, even as he charged families in
the community to follow the path of peace in finding solution to the issues at
stake.
He further appealed to the youth of
Okere-Urhobo to channel their energy to useful ventures, respect the elders and
be law abiding, noting that the Okowa administration had created a peace
building platform to ensure peace and tranquility in all parts of the state.
In their separate remarks, Pa Dickson
Eburu, Pa Eraivor, Chief Victor Okumagba and Prince John Eraivor, among others,
pledged their support for the efforts of government in ensuring sustainable
peace in the state.
