COTE D’VOIRE AMBASSADOR TO PARNTER NCPC ON PILGRIMAGE


   The Cote D’Ivoire Ambassador to Nigeria, her Excellency, Toure Nee Maman has said that the Cote D’Ivoire Ministry of Tourism is ready to work and partner with the Commission so that Christian pilgrims in Nigeria could visit the various holy sites in Cote D’ivoire. She disclosed this during a courtesy on the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Tor Uja in his office in Abuja.


She explained that Cote D’Ivoire has some significant Holy Sites which include: St Paul Cathedral of Abidjan, a Catholic Religious edifice where the very first stone of the edifice was blessed by Pope John Paul 11 during his first pastoral visit in Cote d’Ivoire, The Basilica Notre-Dame of Peace of Yamoussoukro which is the highest Catholic Religious edifice in the world, the Holy Mary Sanctuary, the cave dedicated to Holy Mary among others.

She intimated that they are ready to reduce the package price to make affordable and promised to ensure that the pilgrims are well take care of.

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Mr. Tor Uja has while receiving the Ambassador of Cote d’Ivoire to Nigeria, said that  the commission is ready to explore the holy sites in Cote D’ Ivoire this year.

He thanked the Ambassador for coming and commended her for the hard work love and friendship to Nigeria.

The Commission last year has sent some staff to explore the holy site in Cote D’ivoire
