Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue has inaugurated the boards of five agencies, with a call to the members to see their appointments as a call to service.
During the inauguration yesterday, he urged them to be committed to the core values of fair play, justice and the fear of God which, he said, had remained the guiding principles of his administration.
The governor advised women to participate actively in politics and be ready to compete with their male counterparts, and expressed readiness to give equal opportunity to both men and women.
The full membership of the boards was not disclosed, but names of their chairmen released to newsmen, showed that Dr. Joseph Ngbeagh would chair the board of the State Polytechnic, while Terngu Shawon is Chairman, Benue Investment and Property Company, among other chairmen.
