Delta govt. lauds LGA boss initiative in healthcare



    Delta government has lauded the chairman of Aniocha North local government area, Chuks Oseme,  for his initiative in providing a staff clinic in the area.

   The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nicolas Azinge, who gave the commendation yesterday in Issele-Uku, at the inauguration of the  clinic, said the initiative of the council boss was worthy of emulation.
   He said that the project was an investment in the state healthcare sector and one of the cardinal points of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s developmental agenda for the people of the state.
   Azinge enjoined the staff of the local government to make good use of the clinic, saying that it was equipped with the necessary medical facilities to meet the health needs of the staff.
   The council chairman said that the clinic would help workers stay healthy by offering on-the-site preventive test and screening to help them develop good health habits.
   He assured the staff of the council of his commitment to the sustainability of the clinic, adding that he took proactive measure in setting-up an accountability mechanism to ensure that the clinic remained functional.
