Mike Dubke: White House communications director quits


     The White House communications director has resigned only three months after being hired by President Donald Trump.

Mike Dubke, an experienced Republican strategist, was hired in March to revamp the White House media strategy.

As part of the shake-up, White House press secretary Sean Spicer will reportedly hold on to his position, but there will be fewer media briefings.

The reshuffle follows reports of disarray in the White House communications team.

Mr Dubke tendered his resignation on 18 May and is leaving on good terms, according to Axios News, a politics website which first reported his exit.

Grande is offering free tickets to those at her Manchester Arena show.

That affair was well publicised and Sharon says it made her feel “humiliated and belittled.”

Oil price fall not a threat for now – OPEC


         The fall of crude oil price in the international market after the decision by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to continue with its production cut till March next year is not a major concern for now, the Secretary General of the group, Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo has said.

Speaking to newsmen after the agreement in Vienna, Barkindo said the target by the group is to rebalance the crude oil stock globally and that can only be achieved slowly and steady.

“Volatility in price, before, during and after the OPEC meetings is almost routine, because traders taking position on both side, in anticipation of decision by OPEC and  as you know they use the media in order to advocate their positions”, he said.

       Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday urged Nigerians not to despair over the prevailing economic hardships, assuring them that the worst days were over and the future was brighter.

In a nationwide broadcast to commemorate the mid-term anniversary of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, he said the most difficult phase of economic crisis had been overcome and encouraged Nigerians to look forward to a brighter and more promising tenure.

Osinbajo, who said there was increasing intensity of the light coming at the end of the tunnel, also sought the co-operation and support of Nigerians in the administration’s bid to achieve its goals and objectives.

Marvel has another couple of Hip-Hip Variant Covers to end off their second season.

Back in February, we reported on a whole slew of really cool designs by the fantastic artists at Marvel and they've got some new material to close out May and June 2017. 

This time, they have used the album artwork of 50 Cent and De La Soul as an inspiration for a take-off with classics from their cavalcade of classic comic book characters. Those covers will come out May 31st and June 14th respectively.
