Nigerian Professional Football
League club, ABS FC, have signed a five-year deal with sport kit giants Puma.
According to a statement signed by
the clubs Chairman, Seni Saraki, the official launch is scheduled for the Palms
Mall, Ilorin on Thursday, June 1. President of the Nigeria Football
Federation, Amaju Pinnick and the Chairman of the League Management Company,
Shehu Dikko, are expected to be special guests at the event.
ABS are currently 11th in the NPFL
table with 28 points from 21 games. Still in the world of sport,
Zambia coach, Wedson Nyirenda, has named his 23-member team to face Gabon in an
away friendly on June 4 in Libreville.
The match will mark the return of
striker Jonas Sakuwaha to the team for the first time since February, 2012. But the home-based team will be without Zanaco and Zesco United players, due to their 2017 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup engagements at home this weekend respectively.
Meanwhile, Zambia held its first training session in Lusaka on Monday at Woodlands Stadium ahead of Thursday’s departure for Gabon.
