Kylie and Kendall Jenner were slapped with a lawsuit following their release of t-shirts that featured their faces plastered over Biggie and Tupac.
The innately disrespectful tees faced a lot of backlash including a post from Voletta Wallace, Biggie's mother who found it "disrespectful, disgusting and [a form of] exploitation at it's worst."
Of course the sisters somehow missed out on how these t-shirts were hugely inappropriate and Biggie's estate has threatened to sue.
"This is misappropriation at its finest. I’m curious to hear the justification. I’m even more curious to hear the proposed resolution," Julian K. Petty, the estate's lawyer told TMZ .
It seems the cease and desist letter worked as the shirts have been pulled from the website, Kendall and Kylie are yet to comment on the incident.
Biggie's Mom speaks out after Kylie and Kendall Jenner plaster their faces over vintage Biggie and Tupac designs.
"This is disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at it's worst!" Voletta Wallace posted after seeing the ripped off designs.
Atleast 3 t-shirts were posted for sale on Kendall and Kylie's website that featured their faces pasted over Biggie and Tupac, as well as "KK" on one of the others.
Fans felt equally disrespected as this is pretty obviously an exploitative move on their part. The shirts were selling for $125 each on the website, but have now been taken down likely due to the backlash it received.
The Jenners never fail to get people talking.
As per usual, whenever something controversial happens, the internet is set ablaze in a social media firestorm. As you're probably well aware, the Jenner sisters' latest fashion choice led to some seriously perturbed Twitter folk. While many simply don't care about the Jenners and their latest antics, others were far more vocal about the fashion gaffe, blasting the duo with accusations of cultural appropriation, insensitivity, and overall poor judgement.
After a direct disavowing from Biggie's mother, it's pretty hard to chalk this one up as anything other than an L .
