Twitter weighs in on Kendrick's "Mask Off" verse.

Future and Kendrick Lamar inhabit different lanes on the hip-hop superhighway, but they joined forces on the new remix of "Mask Off." DJ Envy debuted the track this morning on The Breakfast Club and the denizens of Twitter took to the timeline to weigh in on Kendrick's verse. The online debate does not primarily revolve around the quality of Kendrick's verse, but rather Future's decision to place him on the remix in the first place.  "Mask Off" peaked at #5... perhaps Future is gunning for that #1 spot.

You know what? I'm gonna say it.
Kendrick Lamar was not needed on the Mask Off remix. More drug talk, less sense. pic.twitter.com/Yc1jfJ3KqH

Kendrick will still rap circles around your favorite rapper, but I want to sell drugs when I hear 'Mask Off,' instead of thinking.

Y'all won't even allow Kendrick to just rap anymore Huh? Has he put himself in a position where y'all always expect some deep shit?

Kendrick verse on "Mask Off" was really dope but that verse shouldn't have been on that record. Like mixing chicken with pork.

Damn people really hate conscious rap huh. Kendrick hopped on mask off and DID HIM, and it was still dope. The best of both worlds.

Wait. Kendrick's ending part. Nigggggggaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Kendrick Lamar is probably at worst my 2nd or 3rd favorite rapper but he's batting a smooth .286 on guest verses

Kendrick said "How y'all let a conscious nigga go commercial while only making conscious albums?" on Mask Off. man oh man lol.
