Professor Osinbajo said this in his congratulatory message to the President, Uhuru Kenyatta following his re-election victory at the August 8 general elections.
According to the acting president, President Kenyatta’s re-election is a testimony to his leadership style and the giant strides he has taken in developing the east-African country in the last few years.
Rize FM recalls that on August 11, Kenya’s incumbent President Kenyatta was declared the winner of the country’s Presidential election.
The Chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, IEBC, Wafula Chebukati, announced that Kenyatta garnered 54.27 per cent of the total votes cast, beating his close rival Raila Odinga who secured 44.74 per cent of the votes.
In a short victory speech after he was declared President-elect, Kenyatta extended a “hand of friendship” to Odinga, adding that he looked forward to partnering with all Kenyans in building the nation.
