Niger State Government sign MOU on a $3.2 billion Integrated Agriculture City Project




  

   As one of the deliverables of the just concluded Investment Summit in Niger State, the state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, on a $3.2 billion Integrated Agriculture City Project in Tegina, Rafi local government area of the state with a private firm.

   The secretary to the Niger State government, Ibrahim Isah Ladan signed on behalf of the Niger State government, while Henry Goiko signed on behalf of the firm, All States Investment Limited.
   Goiko stated that the firm will aside Integrated Agricultural projects, build 40,000 units of houses as a separate village to be integrated into the agricultural value chain projects in the area.
  He stated that the city and the agricultural projects will cover 42,948.215 hectares of land aimed at developing a large agricultural city of international standard and modern technology that is capable of taking advantage of the agricultural potentials of Niger State.
  According to him the projects will employ 200,000 youths thereby helping to check the level of unemployment in the state with a view to ensuring that the state benefit from its agricultural potentials.
