Governor
Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has urged well-to-do Nigerians and corporate
organizations to engage in actions that will boost reading culture in Nigeria.
Governor
Okowa made the call yesterday during the hand-over of reconstructed and stocked N30
million Library complex to the Delta State government at Oleh, Isoko South
local government area of the state.
Martha
Charity Foundation reconstructed and restocked the Library and donated it to
the Delta State government. According
to Governor Okowa, it was important to rekindle the interest of the people in
reading, observing that the ultra-modern Library Complex, would encourage
people to read.
He noted
that there is no alternative to acquisition of knowledge and commended Martha
Charity Foundation for complementing government efforts in the provision of
infrastructure.
