The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has resuscitated its moribund farm settlements in Bauchi, Kebbi, Oyo and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier-General Suleiman Kazaure, also noted that the scheme has almost completed the integrated Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Centre in Gombe and Ekiti states to give the graduates the enabling environment to be self-reliant at completion of the service year.

The DG, who spoke yesterday during his welcome remark at the 2017 NYSC Annual Management Conference in Jos, the Plateau State capital, noted that the event was an avenue for critical review of policies and operations, which will add value to the NYSC scheme.

Also, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Adeshola Olushola, who represented the Minister, Solomon Dalung, pledged the ministry’s continued support for the goals of the scheme to be achieved.
