Meanwhile,
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has set a semi-final target for Nigeria at the
2018 World Cup in Russia, saying that they already advanced to the round of 16
in three previous tournaments.
According
to Gernot Rohr, although there some challenges inherent in Africa football, he
is pleased that everything is going on well and there is a cordial relationship
between him and the President of the Nigerian Football Federation NFF, Amaju
Pinnick.
Against
all the odds, the national team qualified for next year’s showpiece in Russia, with
a game to spare after beating Zambia 1-0 in Uyo Akwa-Ibom State on October 7.
Nigeria
will return to action when they face Algeria in their final 2018 World Cup
qualifier on November 10, before wrapping up their 2017 schedule with a
friendly against Argentina.
