The deputy governor of Anambra state, Dr Nkem Okeke has called on politicians and their supporters in Enugwu-Ukwu community in Njikoka local government area of the state not to allow the forthcoming election bring division in the area.
He said any vote from Enugwu-Ukwu to another political party
is akin to disrupting the ongoing development in the town. Addressing a meeting
with Ofu Obi Youth forum in the community, Okeke explained that election had
never brought disunity in the community, insisting that such narratives would
not change in his time.
"Elections would always come and go with its stories of
winners and good losers but in brotherhood we remain for life. We are brothers,
let watch each other’s back,” he said. He said if his kinsmen from
Enugwu-Ukwu community fail to support him by voting APGA to ensure their
re-election, posterity would hold him accountable.
