Construction ofAsaba International Airport underway



    Asaba International Airport is set to be among the best in Nigeria, thanks to the on-going upgrade of its facilities.

   Speaking during an unscheduled inspection visit to the airport, Governor IfeanyiOkowa reiterated that funding is not the issue, adding that he will regularly inspect the project to ensure that it is delivered in good time.
    While declining to state the time frame for the re-opening of the airport, the governor noted that the work is moving at a good pace.
   Earlier, the contractor handling the project, UcheOkpuno, informed the governor that work would be completed in the first 900 metresof the runway within the next ten days, adding that civil work on the Instrument Landing System has been completed, while installation was ongoing.
