federal government plans to spend N270 billion over the next three years on the rehabilitation - FASHOLA




    The Minister of Power, Works and Housing ,Babatunde Fashola says the  federal government plans to spend N270 billion over the next three years on the rehabilitation of  50 bridges across the country.

   The minister disclosed this during an inspection tour of the rehabilitation of the Lagos  Ring Road abutment and approach to the third mainland bridge across the country.
According to him, the government will begin with N70billion to N100 billion in the first  year, starting with the  critical bridges in order to avoid their collapse
    The minister further directed engineers in the ministry to begin work on the realignment of the Apongbon Bridge in Lagos .
He further stated that the government is set to take action against indiscriminate parking and trading activities in some parts of EbuteEro towards the third mainland bridge.
