Technical director of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Bitrus Bewarang say he is optimistic that Everton’s new kid on the block Ademola Lookman will pledge his international future to the Super Eagles rather than his country of birth, England.
According to reports, the Southwark born striker has hinted the possibility of representing Nigeria at senior level, but says he would love to continue playing for the English youth teams for now, with the next big event on the FIFA calendar which is the U20 World Cup on the horizon.
But Bewarang has insited that Lookman is in the plans of the Nigeria Football Federation, and a call up to the national team appears forthcoming.
The 19-year old Lookman first played for England at U19 level before he was promoted to THE U-20 squad.
