USAID strengthen its partnership with Bauchi State government with the signing of MOU



    The United States government through United State Agency for International Development, USAID, has strengthened its partnership with Bauchi State government with the signing of Memorandum of Understanding, MoU.

   The MoU which was signed in Abuja by the USAID Mission Director, Michael Harvey and His Excellency, the Governor of Bauchi State, Barr M.A. Abubakar will last for five-years and meant to support the Bauchi State government’s goal and target in its education sector strategic plans, and established a preliminary plan for joint monitoring and evaluation of progress.
   Commenting, Harvey commended Governor Abubakar for its extra-ordinary efforts to provide greater learning opportunities for children in Bauchi State.
   Currently, USAID implements three activities that support Bauchi State government’s efforts to improve the education sector.
On his part, Governor Abubakar appreciated the efforts of the American government through USAID.
    He said that it was in view of the importance his government’s attach to education that 20% of the states’ budget was dedicated to education, promising to replicate same this year.
