Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has flagged off the second
round of the 2017 National Immunization Plus in Delta state.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government,
Hon. Festus Agas, at the ceremony held at Owa-Oyibu in Ika North -East Local
Government Area, the Governor restated the commitment of his to providing
universal health care through the Delta State Contributory Health Scheme.
While assuring that all children between zero to nine
months old will continue to benefit from potent vaccine administration during
the campaign and at Routine Immunization session, Governor Okowa encouraged parents,
guardians and care givers to present their children and wards for vaccination
against polio disease.
Present at the ceremony include Chairman, Delta State
Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Richard Kofi and the first member
of Delta State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Caroline Agbi, amongst
others.
