CHAN Eagles Play Kano Pillars Friendly for Benin Republic

The home-based Super Eagles will today face Kano Pillars in a preparatory friendly ahead of the national team’s second leg African Nations Championship, CHAN, qualifier against the Squirrels of Benin Republic on Saturday.

The friendly will be played at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, the same venue for the CHAN qualifiers second leg.
Rize FM recalls that Nigeria lost the first leg 1-0 to Benin in Cotonou on Sunday.
The CHAN Eagles had played a 1-1 draw in a friendly with a Kano selected side before the Nigerian team travelled out to Benin Republic for their first leg encounter with the Squirrels.
In order to keep the players tuned up once again for Saturday’s CHAN qualifier, the Nigerian team have lined up a friendly with the Nigeria Professional Football League side Pyramids with a view to keep the players match-fit and monitor other deficiencies in the team.
