The League Management Company,
organisers of the Nigerian Professional Football League, have resheduled the
matchday 33 fixture involving Rivers United and Katsina United, earlier billed
to hold on Sunday, to Monday.
In a letter signed by the Chief
Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar, the LMC granted Rivers United an extra day
to recover from the fatigue which they suffered traveling to Port Harcourt
after playing their outstanding game against Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha
stadium on Thursday.
With six games to go in the NPFL,
last season's runners-up Rivers United, who have a game in hand, are 16th in
the NPFL table with 41 points from 31 games, one point adrift Katsina United in
14th position.
