Police in Jigawa State intercept vehicle laden with 10 cartons containing 5,000 packets of Tramol capsules



  

   The ‎Police in Jigawa State has intercepted a vehicle laden with 10 cartons containing 5,000 packets of Tramol capsules along the Maigatari border town of Niger Republic.

   According to reports, the drug which is listed among the prohibited substances was arrested when the Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, allegedly alerted the police that a Toyota Corolla brand of vehicle on top speed had refused to be stopped and checked at the border check point.
   The police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdu Jinjiri, told newsmen that the driver who was the only occupant after a long pursuit by the police abandoned the vehicle and took to his heels.
   He said the substance, estimated at over N3 million, had been already handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in Dutse alongside the alleged culprit for prosecution.
