Inspector-General of Police direct residents of distressed police buildings to relocate for their safety

The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, is directing residents of distressed police buildings to relocate for their safety.
Idris is however assuring that the police would provide financial support for new accommodation to families who had already been served quit notices.

Stating this during a tour of Highway Police Barracks, Ikeja, Lagos, he said the payments would be made as soon as funds were received from the Federal Government.
On the financial assistance to residents of buildings earmarked for demolition, the senior officer said the Police had sent a request to the federal government, adding that the force will soon swing into action.
