Delta State Government sets deadline for regularization of land documents.

 

Delta state government has set 31st of January 2017, as the deadline for those who are yet to regularize their lands in the Okpanam core area, vowing to go tough with anyone who fails to comply with the regularization order.

   The state commissioner for lands and survey,Dan Okenyi disclosed this to newsmen in Asaba, saying that the state government had given enough concession on the matter, adding that the state needs funds to adequately pilot the business of governance in the state.
   He said that the state government would stick to the N750,000 regularization fee per plot, saying that the reason for the extension of the deadline from December 31st 2016, was to enable the affected persons meet up, reiterating that there would be no further reduction in the regularization fee.
