May D whose real names are Mayokun Awodumila was born in Lagos, Nigeria to a family of 5 boys. He comes from Ekiti State Nigeria.
The University of Lagos Mass Communication graduate, attended King's College where he mimed songs of popular artistes.
After featuring on a few notable singles May D was signed to Square Records in the year 2012 and released a few hit tracks such as ‘Ile Ijo’, and ‘Soundtrack’.
The relationship with Square Records did not last long as he left the label shortly after.He dropped his debut album ‘Chapter One’ in 2013.
