Abia State government has unveiled
plans to build a 60-unit housing estate in each of the 17 council areas of the
state, totalling 1,020 houses across the state.
Commissioner for Housing, Osita
Igbe, who stated this in an interview with newsmen, said the housing project was part of efforts by the
state government to boost grassroots across the state.
Igbe explained that arrangements
were set to engage the private sector and mortgage banks to deliver the houses
that would have civil servants, members of trade associations and unions
