Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC, has commenced operations with 512 passengers on a round trip with 192 passengers from Abuja to Kaduna and 320 back.
According to Victor Adamu, the operations manager of the station, the Sunday operation, which kicked-off yesterday, was successful based on the good and sizeable turn out of passengers.
He added that the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, asked NRC to commence operations yesterday immediately to ease movement of passengers from the airport in Kaduna back to Abuja.
You will recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had inaugurated the Abuja-Kaduna commercial train operation in July 26, 2016.
