The Daughters of Sarah Fellowship of the
Word of Life Bible Church, yesterday started the 19th edition of her
International convention at the International Conference Centre of Word of Life
Bible Church.
The convention organized by the women’s
wing, has its theme, ‘Give us this day our daily bread’, and has guest speakers
such as Rev. Ayuk Ayuk from Cameroun, Rev Nkechi Anayo Iloputaife, and the
leader of the group, Mama Helen Oritsejafor.
Alongside the convention every year, the
Daughters of Sarah organizes a ‘Trade Fair’ display, where people come to
advertise and sell their goods and services at affordable and competitive prizes.
This year’s trade fair sees merchants from
Ghana, Togo, Cotonou, and around Nigeria displaying their various goods and
services.
Giving her speech at the official opening
of the trade fair, which was held today, Mama Helen Oritsejafor expressed the
need for diversification and hinted that the Daughters of Sarah, in conjunction
with the Eagle Flight Microfinance Bank, will provide loans for small and
medium business financing as a way of empowering the people.
She urged everyone to visit the various
stands at the trade fair located at the Word of Life Bible Church premises,
Ajamimogha, as it will last for one month.
The DOS convention which continued today
at 3pm with Rev Nkechi Iloputaife from Lagos, will be on till Sunday at 8am.
