The list of new police recruits
recently approved by the Federal Government is being rejected by Bayelsa State
Government, as it describes the process of the recruitment exercise as
fraudulent.
A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Jonathan Obuebite, lamented a situation where names of non-Bayelsans were used to fill positions meant for the people of the state.
The Bayelsa government therefore described the process as not only lopsided, but a fraud against the people of the state, and called for an immediate probe into the process.
You would recall that last week, the
Police Service Commission, released names of successful applicants for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force in the Federal
Government’s 10,000 police recruitment programme.
