A lot of reforms will be carried out by Delta state government to
reposition the state-owned media houses.
According to the State Commissioner for Information, Patrick Ukah, efforts have been put in place to ensure the media houses rank among equals.
He also pointed out that since the
inception of the present administration; his ministry has committed itself in
adequately publicizing the programmes and activities of government within the
context of the SMART Agenda.
Ukah further highlighted the construction
of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, state secretariat building in Asaba,
hosting of the 46th meeting of the National Council on Information, rebranding
of the state’s identity among other things, as part of achievements of the
ministry.
