Enugu State Government says it will
eliminate the menace of miracle examination centres in the state.
The government said it would do this
through the abolition of admission of Senior Secondary School 3 students in any
school in the state.
Nestor Ezeme, Chairman of the state
Post-Primary School Management Board, told newsmen today in Enugu that the ban
was already effective from the 2016/2017 academic season.
Ezeme said that the move was part of
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s efforts to improve education in the state to instill
academic hard work on students.
To this end, he urged school
administrators, principals and vice principals of both private and public
schools in the state to re-double their efforts.
