The Governor's message was contained
in a statement today in Asaba and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles
Aniagwu, wherein he tasked Christians to offer special prayers during the
yuletide for greater peace, Love, unity, peaceful co-existence and progress in
Nigeria.
He therefore pleaded with the Christian
community to be steadfast in promoting the virtues of Christ, which are love,
peace and harmony in all their undertakings, stressing that peaceful
co-existence and understanding among citizens.
The Governor reemphasized his administration's
commitment to pursuing more people-oriented policies and programmes, which have
direct bearing on the lives of the people.
Governor Okowa wishes all Deltans and
indeed all Nigerians, a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year in
advance as he prays for the warmth of God’s love to fill every heart and home.
