Governor Okowa warns political office holders against sycophants

   Delta State governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has warned political office holders against identifying with praise singers and sycophants.

    Governor Okowa, disclosed this at the N150 million Endowment Fund for Youth Development and Empowerment Programme by the senator representing Delta North in the National Assembly, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi, in Asaba, told politicians to be effective and accountable to their people.

While Maintaining that political office holders should take conscious steps towards putting smiles on the faces of their people especially in the yuletide, Governor Okowa stressed the need for them to always identify and interact with their constituents instead of staying away from them.

    Earlier in his remark Senator Nwaoboshi vowed to partner with Governor Okowa in building a transformed state, anchored on prosperity, security and human capital development, pointing out that the empowerment programme was targeted at giving back to the society and empowering his constituents.
