The
Federal Government has approved a contract for the construction of Greater
Abuja Water Supply Project at the total cost of $470million Dollars.
It also
approved a contract of N186million for the supply of 1,000 tons of alum for the
FCT Water Board.
FCT
Minister, Mohammed Bello, disclosed these to newsmen at the end of a meeting of
the Federal Executive Council presided over by the Acting President, Yemi
Osinbajo.
Bello
said the Greater Abuja Water Supply Project was important for the residents of
the city because it aimed to provide potable water to the greater part of the
city.
He said
the project was in line with the present administration’s policy of
concentrating on the projects that would have the largest impact on the largest
number of people.
